Traditional Food Challenge: The Rules

If you wanna join us for the T.F.C. (Traditional Food Challenge), raise your right hand and repeat after me...

I will...
  1. Eat whole, natural foods. (adding whole wheat & brown rice, natural sweeteners in place of their white counterparts.)

  2. Eat fresh, eat local, eat organic!

  3. Eat naturally-raised meats/animal products which are hormone free.

  4. Eat natural dairy products (whole, raw milk products).

  5. Use traditional fats & oils (butter, animal fats, E.V.O.O., coconut & palm oils, etc.)

  6. Prepare grains & nuts by soaking or sprouting.

  7. Eat more fermented foods.

  8. Incorporate homemade meat stocks from chicken, beef, lamb, or fish bones.

  9. Limit caffeine & sugar intake. (Natural sweeteners: raw honey, real maple syrup, jaggery, etc.)

  10. Use filtered water for drinking and cooking!

  11. Use unrefined sea salt.

  12. Prepare foods in stainless steel, cast iron, glass or enamel cookware. Limit the use of plastics for food storage/reheating.

There, that wasn't so hard now, was it? Hey, bring it on, we're just getting started! These are the foundational principles and we will expand in detail on these as we go along. Don't feel like you have to do them all at once or none at all, they may take time (and money) so don't feel overwhelmed, that's what we're here for.
